'I have much enjoyed working with Lisa on numerous occasions - she is equally at home with music from Purcell to Poulenc - all sung beautifully and with utmost professionalism.'  David Dunnett,

Organist at Norwich Cathedral and conductor of the Norwich Philharmonic.

Lisa Cassidy is a Britten Pears Young Artist and a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has appeared alongside artists including Fenella Humphreys, Judith Howarth, Malcolm Martineau and the actress Eleanor Bron and performed extensively across Europe and the UK. Recent notable appearances include a contemporary adaptation of the mad scene in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, in Vigo, Spain, which she co-developed with the artist Grace Schwindt, the conductor, Ramón Souto and Vertixe Sonora Ensemble. Lisa and Grace then explored this piece further for a performance at the Royal Academy of Art in London. Lisa has studied with Judith Howarth, Jennifer Dakin, Ann de Renais, Christopher Glynn and currently works with Mary Plazas. Recent highlights include opening the season for Norwich’s Assembly House Classical series with pianist Somi Kim, a concert appearance at Benjamin Britten’s former home, The Red House and contemporary works, with Artist Grace Schwindt, for the Something Raw Festival at the Frascati Theatre in Amsterdam. Approaching (postponed!) performances include Rachmaninoff with the Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra, concerts and recordings with award winning Voice Project and a recital in celebration of Beethoven at the Sainsbury Centre, Norwich with pianist Jennifer Hughes.

‘Lisa Cassidy’s performance of the Poulenc ‘Gloria’ was truly radiant and seduced the ear – she exactly matched the mysterious blend of spirituality and sensuousness of the music. Lisa understands this music on a profound level and one can sense it comes from deep inside her. Unforgettable’ Leslie Olive, Conductor of the Eye Bach Choir, English Arts Chorale and the Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra
